This Privacy Policy explains how Kuromatsu LLC, doing business as Athletic Universe (”AU”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application, website, or related services (“Services”).

• AI avatar inputs (photos and specifications)

Payment information (if applicable)

Processed securely by Stripe. AU does not store card numbers or payment instruments.

If you sign in using Google or Apple:

We do not receive passwords or access to your external accounts.

AI Avatar Generation

We use OpenAI to:

• Create AI-generated avatars from uploaded images

• Create anime, realistic, or stylized versions of the athlete

Your uploaded images and avatar prompts are sent to OpenAI only for the purpose of fulfilling the avatar request.

Safety, Security & Compliance

• Authentication and fraud prevention

• Detect misuse or harmful content

• Comply with legal obligations

We only share your information with:

• Supabase (hosting, storage, database, edge functions)

• Firebase Auth (login/account security)

• OpenAI (AI avatar creation)

B. Team & Organization Personnel

If you join a team, club, or organization in AU, coaches and administrators may view your:

• Name

• Profile info

• Images and avatars

• Team membership details

C. Public Sharing (Optional)

Athletes may choose to:

• Make a profile publicly visible

• Share a link with recruiters, parents, or others

Public profiles may include:

• Name

• Photos/avatars

• Position/sport

• Highlight videos

• Stats or bio information

D. Legal, Safety, and Business Transfers

We may disclose information:

• To comply with law enforcement or legal requests

• To prevent harm or fraud

• If AU is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

4. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY (COPPA COMPLIANCE)

AU is used by minor athletes, but accounts for minors must be created and monitored by a parent or legal guardian.

We follow COPPA guidelines and:

✔ Require parent/guardian contact details for all minor accounts

✔ Do not allow minors to create accounts independently

✔ Do not sell or share personal information of minors

✔ Restrict public profile visibility unless parent enables it

✔ Allow parents to modify or delete their child’s data

6. DATA RETENTION

We keep data only as long as necessary.

Examples:

• Active accounts → data retained

• Deleted accounts → removed or anonymized within 90 days

• Payment records → retained as legally required

• AI avatar images → stored until deleted by the user

Backup retention may extend beyond deletion but becomes inaccessible.
